Health Information Standards Organisation (HISO)

An updated Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Health Information Standards Organisation (HISO) and HL7 New Zealand (HL7NZ) was signed on 1st October 2021. The MoU exists to recognise the respective roles of both organisations and the ways in which they can work together to use standards for the good of interoperability in the New Zealand health and disability system, and to play our part in the international standards community.

Digital Health Association

Digital Health Association and HL7 New Zealand have signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on achieving interoperable healthcare information across the country.

Health Informatics NZ

In March 2017, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Health Informatics NZ. (HiNZ) and HL7 New Zealand (HL7NZ) was signed. HiNZ and HL7NZ believe there is benefit to the organisations collaborating due to their mutual interest in digital health.

openEHR

HL7 New Zealand and the openEHR Foundation recognise the importance of developing standards that facilitate the interoperability of healthcare information held in digital formats. Both parties agree that both organisations provide crucial input and facilities in this area and that close collaboration is required to achieve this goal.
